alive again

Since Monday everything feels like blur to me, I've been so sick. I spent almost five days without leaving our sofa. Thank god I finally felt better today, it was so wonderful to wake up and feel alive again. So today I went outside for the first time in these five days! Now I appreciate being healthy even more and all those little things that seem like a matter of course. For example smelling the fresh air, actually tasting the food I'm eating, being able to do things and have more energy. Enjoying life.

Maanantaista lähtien kaikki on tuntunut yhdeltä isolta sumulta tähän päivään asti, olen ollut niin kipeä. Ihan kuin olisin viettänyt nämä päivät jollain eri planeetalla. Ette voi arvatakaan miten ihanaa oli herätä tänään ja tuntea taas olevansa elävien kirjoissa. Tän pienen muistutuksen jälkeen arvostan terveyttä taas vähän enemmän, kaikkia niitä pikku juttujakin joita siihen kuuluu, jotka helposti ottaa itsestäänselvyyksinä.

Another spring and summer trend I'm in love with: crochet. In dresses, tops, shorts, bags, bikinis, etc. Looks great with tanned skin!

Taas yksi kesätrendi, johon olen rakastunut: virkattu pitsi. Mekoissa, paidoissa, shortseissa, bikineissä, laukuissa, missä vaan. Näyttää varmasti hyvältä rusketuksen kanssa!

I've had big problems with transferring pictures to my mac, it took me hours to even transfer these pics taken today, I nearly gave up. Tomorrow I can luckily borrow my mum's laptop, and after holidays I'll bring my mac to see a doctor right away. So goddamn frustrating!

Anyway, It's been lovely weather these days, I hope it'll only get warmer. It's not green yet, but the first flowers have appeared!

Mulla on ollut nyt macin kanssa ongelmia, en tiedä yhtään missä vika, mutta näidenkin tänään otettujen kuvien siirtäminen koneelle kesti tunteja. Ihme että ylipäätään sain siirrettyä, luovuttaminen oli kyllä lähellä. No, huomenna saan äidin läppärin lainaan, ja pyhien jälkeen vien oman koneen heti huoltoon. Niiin raivostuttavaa yrittää tehdä tällä nyt mitään.

Onneksi nyt on ollut niin ihanat ilmat että on sitä ilman konettakin pärjännyt. Vielä kun saisi lehdet puihin ja vihreyttä niin olisin jo ihan kesäfiiliksissä!

Sunday was a voting day for parliamentary election in Finland. The result was kinda surprising, if you ask me maybe not in a good way. It's been a big topic here since, but not more about that..

casual friday

My project for this weekend is wardrobe spring cleaning, which I started today. That means making room for more summery clothes and putting most of my winter clothing aside and some to flea market pile. I also found clothes from last spring I forgot I even had, for example this baseball jacket. Not going to flea market pile yet!

Viikonlopun projekti tulee olemaan vaatekaapin kevätsiivous, jonka tänään sain alkuun. Tarkoitus olisi saada tilaa keväisemmille vaatteille, laittaa talvisempia syrjään ja osan kirpparireissua odottamaan. Kaivoin myös viime kevään ja kesän vaatteita jo esiin, kuten tämän baseball takin, jonka olemassaolon olin jo ehtinyt unohtaa!

home-made hamburgers

Today I made one of my favorite foods, home-made hamburgers! They are so far away from all the fast food restaurants junk food, taste so much better and are maybe a little healthier.

Step one: Mix mince meat, black pepper, salt and a little tabasco in a bowl. Using your hands shape into form of beefs. (My assistant watching under the table..)

Step two: Grill the beefs. I used a sandwich grill, but you can use a pan as well.

Step three: Prepare all the other ingredients. You need pickles, salad, tomatoes, red onions, ketchup, and if you like also mayonneise or cheese etc.

Step four: Grill the bread. (Keep the beefs hot meanwhile under folio for example)

Step five: Build the hamburger with the ingredients you like!

Step six: Enjoy, mmm :)

After a few busy days (working, doing the preliminary assignment and other duties), today it has been all about relaxing. I've just hanged at home in my pyjamas, so no outfit pictures coming, haha.. From time to time I just need a day like this, batteries are now loaded!

Couple posts ago I wrote about bright colors, now I'm finally wearing one! I'm loving this bright orange/red colored new coat, I think it's going to be one of my favourites!

Today I finished my preliminary assignment (digital media), it took time a lot more than I expected. But now I'm happy to return it tomorrow, at least I did my best. Now I have to wait for the results for over a month! Fingers crossed, wish me luck!

Viimeinen päivä Hullujen Päivien apulaisena on ohi. Eräs asiakas totesi tänään, että taidan kotiin päästessäni todella tuntea olleeni töissä, ja oli muuten oikeassa. Jalat on muusia, niskaa särkee ja väsyttää. Mutta hyvä fiilis jäi! Ja täytyy sanoa että teidän lukijoiden kommentit niin livenä kuin täällä kommenttibokseissakin on vaan aina yhtä piristäviä ja hymyilyttäviä, kiitos niistä! ♥

Today was my last day at work as a shop assistant in Stockmann's sales campaign. One customer said me I must really feel like I've worked when I get back home, and yeah she was right. My feet hurt and I'm feeling so tired, but happy! And especially after reading your comments, they just always cheer me up. Thank you! ♥

Eilen alkoivat taas Hullut Päivät, mikä itselleni tarkoittaa taas töitä. Hulluutta pari päivää takana ja pari päivää vielä edessä, nopeasti onneksi ne 8-9 tuntisetkin päivät kassalla vierähtää kun kiirettä pitää. Anyway, tänään sain käsiini uuden Vila Notes lehden josta voi minunkin pienen kirjoituksen löytää!

Yesterday started Stockmann's (department store) "Crazy days", it's like a big sales thing, which ends on Sunday. It's literally crazy, I think everyone in Finland is shopping there these few days, except me. I'm working there, which means standing on a cashier nine hours with a looong line in front of me all the time. On the bright side, time flies when it's so busy!

Anyway, today I got this new Vila magazine, in which is a little article written by me!
