nyshopping12
nyshopping18
Michael Kors watch. On the first day I decided if I still have dollars left on the last day I'll go and buy this. I'm happy I had, now I think this was my best purchase!

nyshopping15
nyshopping22
I bought two pairs of Steve Madden's, it was some kind of an offer, the wedges which I showed you already and these sandals.

nyshopping10
Denim shirt from Zara. Straight out of the suitcase, looks much nicer without those wrinkles.

nyshopping20
Bikinis from Victoria's Secret.

nyshopping3
Hoodie from VS also. Super comfy, when it gets colder I think I'll wear this at home all the time.

nyshopping16
My old wallet is dying, so I bought a new one from Nine West.

nyshopping21
The Zara maxi skirt you already saw in my outfit post was also from New York.

mysterious autumn

I'm not ready to say bye to summer yet, I'm happy there's still at least one whole month left. But now I have one reason to be looking forward to autumn, I just had to share this with you. Pneumonia White invited me to do a fashion shoot with her! When I met her that night in Astoria in New York I felt a strange connection between us, so I'm excited to meet her again! The shoot is going to be all very mysterious, I can't tell you much yet, but from all that I've heard it's going to be really interesting. One thing she said about the shoot reminds me of something from my childhood... You will hear more!

good memories

I forget sometimes, dressing is about being creative. I get stuck in the same cloth pieces and forget to try different things and different combos.

I remember the good old days, when dressing up was a play. It was also about dreaming, through clothes we could be whoever we wanted to be. We arranged our own fashion shows and made up ourselves what was fashionable. I remember me and my friends having a sleepover somewhere and we used to put on the craziest cloth pieces we could find, for example six jackets at the same time, rubber boots, and a shower cap. Then we walked in the streets at night scaring people away and making other hiding friends laugh in the bushes.

One of our best games was picking up the weirdest clothes in the stores and trying them on, having competition who has the ugliest outfit. I remember us laughing so hard, I had the best time ever back then. I think I have to call my friends for a reunion to do this again some time.

Well maybe it would be better to leave these memories in the childhood, but still I want to give that fantasy a little more space in my life. Experimenting with clothes, trying new styles, not taking it too seriously. And not caring what other people think and say, as long as I won't be sent in a mental hospital with my experiments. But I think I won't be that brave.

Do you have some funny clothing memories like these? :)

pleated

mekko4

I'm back home. And it's hot. I think today was the hottest day so far, I've taken four showers today and eaten three ice creams. But I'm enjoying this, at least as long as this fan next to me is working!

Anyway, today I wore this dress I haven't use for a long time. I remembered it when I read through Olivia's blog, she made her nude colored pleated skirt look so cute.

Her blog is my current obsession, you can find it here:

video

Since I've got some new readers, I thought it was time for a little video presentation. I've been also asked to do a video blog, so I decided to post this. Even though I'm not so good in front of a camera..

(Those who are wondering why there's two similar videos, they are made for the same purpose but only one made it to the other site, so I decided to put the other one here. You will hear more soon!)

saint river

I decided today to leave the city for a couple of days, summer without visiting our summer house isn't a summer. I packed my things in five minutes, then five hours sitting in a train, and now here I am. This place makes me smile, so many good childhood memories.
Just took some pictures before going to sleep, isn't it beautiful here?

Huomiseen!

new york dream

When I sat in the lobby of Waldorf Astoria, there was one thing that kept repeating on my mind. Is this real, or just a reflection of one of my wildest dreams? Chandeliers glittered creating a dim light and the marble floors shined like mirrors. I had sunk into a velvet covered armchair and my eyes were big as bowls as I glanced through the lobby searching for familiar faces.

wa-

When I started blogging six years ago I wouldn't have believed it would take me to this point. This point, where I was sitting in one of the most luxurious hotels in New York, waiting to meet other bloggers and being part of an amazing project. I'm grateful. Not only grateful I started blogging in the first place, but also grateful for my readers. Without you I'm nothing!

reflection-

Also one interesting thing happened in Waldorf Astoria I haven't mentioned you yet. A young photographer contacted me, she wanted to take some pictures of me. She lives in Los Angeles, and her secretive blog is one of the most talked about there right now. She was a mysterious girl behind a mask, and didn't say much, but I think the pictures turned out to be cool and haunting at the same time. I wanted to share one with you! Love this.

koru
This beautiful necklace I got as a present, designed by Cornelia Webb.
It reminds me of one dreamlike sight: a butterfly flying towards me on Broadway. A butterfly among yellow cabs and rushing people. I wondered if it was as overwhelmed by the traffic as I at first was.
